In traditional Chinese medicine health is about good balance of yin and yang in the body. Yin = Blood, & Yang = Qi (energy). If we have good energy flow, there will be a good health and free of pain. These energy flow travels along the meridians of the body. The meridians are pathways that travels around and inside the body. When there is pain, it is believed that the energy flow of these meridian could be blocked. So by understanding where the location of the pain is, certain acupuncture points can be selected and can help ease the pain.
